Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DimBuilder ("the Service"), operated by MPR Systems ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DimBuilder is an AI-powered software-as-a-service tool that converts transactional SQL schemas into Kimball dimensional model designs, including DDL statements, column mapping documents, and conceptual models. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate these outputs.

3. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to generate dimensional model designs, DDL statements, and related documentation. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
• All outputs should be reviewed and validated by a qualified data professional before use in any production environment
• DimBuilder is a tool to assist data professionals, not a substitute for professional data architecture expertise
• We make no warranty that outputs are complete, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose
• Results may vary based on the quality and completeness of input schemas provided

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing and validating all AI-generated outputs before implementation
• Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not submitting schemas or data that contain personally identifiable information (PII), protected health information (PHI), financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal data
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Any decisions made based on outputs generated by the Service

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Submit schemas containing real personal data, PII, PHI, or financial account information
• Attempt to reverse engineer, bypass, or exploit the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to abuse the Service beyond normal usage
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
• Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law

6. Payment and Refunds

Starter plan purchases are one-time payments and non-refundable once analyses have been used. Pro and Team subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MPR Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business interruption, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated outputs. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MPR Systems. AI-generated outputs based on your input schemas are provided to you for your use. You retain ownership of your input schemas. "Kimball dimensional modeling" refers to the industry-standard methodology developed by Ralph Kimball and is used descriptively.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or engage in fraudulent activity, with or without notice.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes via email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
